The Ama Isi Udala Village road, Ifite-Ogwari road project, measuring 1.8 kilometers, has begun construction in the Ayamelum Local Government Area under the direction of Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR.

The project, which was launched by the governor, is important since it connects to a nearby irrigation basin.

The Governor claims that he has come to fulfill a pledge by participating in the flag-off.

"Before I arrived, I spoke with the Ayamelum stakeholders, who begged us to build the Ayamelum road, connecting Awka with a bridge, and I thought it was highly strategic.

"Additionally, they claimed that Ayamelum individuals do not work in the public sector. We hired 5000 instructors nine months into our government, and Ayamelum folks are present in significant numbers.

"You also requested roads. And that's what we're here to do right now. All of this will happen within ten months. Your stakeholders also requested appointments, and we are already working on it. We'll work harder "The Governor emphasized.

"The first road, which runs for roughly 27 kilometers and connects Ayamelum with the state capital, is currently under construction, is extremely strategic, and will be finished in a few months.

"I was just informed by the Commissioner that the bridge has been planned. I am eagerly anticipating the bridge crossing the river.

"But most significantly, Ayamelum is APGA territory. Make sure you turn out in force and vote APGA in every way on election day.

"Our people should likewise adopt the culture of promptly paying their due share of taxes.

"A bishop advised me to hire only foreign contractors to build the roads in Anambra, but we awarded the contract to New Idea because they have the capacity and expertise to do the job.

The Governor added, "They mobilized to site as soon as they were handed the contract, which indicates capacity, but they should keep in mind that the contract specifies that the road would last at least twenty years.

Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma, the commissioner for works, pointed out that Governor Soludo is very interested in integrated development throughout the state and that the road being waved off links to an irrigation site, is guaranteed to survive for twenty years, and would be finished in five months.

Igwe Sir Ben Emeka congratulated Governor Soludo on behalf of New Idea Construction Company for allowing an indigenous business like theirs to display their craftsmanship.

He continued, "I want to reassure the governor that by the end of April, we must have delivered in accordance with the contract arrangement.

Rt. Hon. Uchenna Okafor, Speaker of the State House of Assembly and APGA Flag-bearer for the Ayamelum State House Assembly, recalled all the promises the Governor made to the people when he came to canvass for votes and emphasized that the flag-off and other things to come are in fulfillment of those promises.

He urged the populace to support APGA in every election if they wanted progress and stability.

Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano, the APGA senatorial candidate for Anambra North, also spoke and said, "We've come to flag-off the road which is a good thing; so we have to thank the Governor by voting APGA," along with Lady Maurene Gwacham, the APGA flag-bearer for Oyi, Ayamelum Federal Constituency, who urged voters to support APGA so that the party could continue to hold office.

Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, the governor's chief of staff, Mr. Livy Onyenwe, the commissioner for petroleum, Barrister Tony Ifeanya, Mr. Emeka Okonkwo, the MD/CEO of ATMA, and a sizable group of supporters were among those present at the event, which included cutting the ribbon to signify the official opening of the road.
