Para Athletes Protest For Not Being Invited For Sports Festival (Video)

Some protesters blocked the road in front of the Teslim Balogun Stadium and the bridge inward Costain on Wednesday, affecting traffic in that area of the state.

An eyewitness, who doesn’t want his name in print, spoke with our correspondent and revealed that the protesters were para athletes, who were protesting against their exclusion from the national sports festival.

He said, “It’s the para athletes who were protesting. They were not invited to the Sports festival but neighbouring countries were invited and they have been training.”

In this video, policemen and their vehicles were seen on the scene but the other side heading to Ojuelegba.
