A man being disregard by a boy

A man, was in the kitchen, when I was  walking behind him he stopped me and told me,cannot you greet I looked at him from head to toe, Then I told him "sir what have you achieve" your mates are out there struggling you are here drinking garri early in the morning, I told him go and achieve something and get rich if you want people to respect you the kind of reaction in his face was like he want to kill someone,Then I walk away and left him there murmuring, please is what i did right or wrong.
