NDDC Set To Train Unemployed Youths At Innoson Motors

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) says all is now set for the training of indigent Niger Delta youths on technical skills at Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company.

This is contained in a statement issued by the commission’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Ibitoye Abosede, and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Port Harcourt.

Abosede quoted the NDDC’s Interim Administrator, Efiong Akwa, as declaring this after inspecting centers at Innoson’s manufacturing facility in Nnewi, Anambra.

Akwa, who became represented by means of his Special Adviser on Youths, Mr Udengs Eradiri, said that the education would begin at Innoson Kiara Academy, a technical and vocational organization, affiliated to Innoson.

”The youngsters might be trained in fabrication, meeting, painting and corrosion manage, among others.

”We notion that due to the developing financial system of the Niger Delta, it's far crucial to start to develop our own abilities to be better and able to manipulate our financial system.

”Though NDDC is already in partnership with Innoson on education of youths in exclusive factors of automobile protection, this visit is to firm up the partnership,” he stated.

Akwa said that the fee determined to teach the youth, with awareness on putting in a vehicle production plant within the Niger Delta within the close to destiny.

He said that the Presidential Amnesty Programme had skilled numerous youths from the place inside the facility, with top effects.

Also talking, Innoson’s Kiara Academy Chief Executive Officer, Mr Endi Ezengwa, thanked the fee for considering the centers at Innoson automobiles for the training.
