Being a perfect person when it comes to preparing a meal is not easy at all. This is why you will believe me when I say that if you take time and cook a delicious soup and it ends up being salty, it is very frustrating.
Truly salt adds taste to a food but when added in excess can totally damage your hard work. As many of us know excess salt can increase a person's blood pressure. But if you make a mistake and add excess salt to a food, there are ways you can remove the excess salt, these ways include.
1. Use Potatoes
Potatoes can help in reducing the amount of salt in a soup. All you need to do is slice potatoes into pieces and put it inside the soup then boil it again. The potatoes will absorb the excess salt in the soup, but make sure you keep checking the potatoes, so as to remove it when it gets too salty.
2. Use Milk or diary foods
If you have milk or any diary food like yogurt grab it immediately and add it to the soup. Though it might destroy the recipe of your soup, it is better you use it than serve your family a very salty food.
3. Water
Water is one of the common things to use when you don't have potatoes or milk. Although it might destroy the recipe of the soup. But it is worth trying, excess salt is more dangerous than a tasteless soup.
Note: These are all measure you can take to save your soup, but prevention is better than cure. Try as much as possible not to put excess salt into your soup to avoid going through all these stress.
