In the African culture, it is believed that the female child should learn how to cook and do house chores. Some people have grown with these values and believe that it is not good if a lady does not know how to cook. They believe that females should learn how to cook from their little age.

A lady has revealed her experience with an unknown guy who came to meet her at a restaurant. She explained that the guy asked if he could sit with her and two minutes into the conversation, he started asking her why she couldn't stay at home and cook rather than going to a restaurant.

The guy explained that she was a female and should cultivate the habit of cooking. He also stated that it is wrong for her to say she is too lazy to cook.

It is my view that a lady going to a restaurant does not mean she doesn't know how to cook. There may be some complications that do not allow her to go home at that point. Either way, it is her choice whether she eats at a restaurant or cooks at home.
