Nigerians are still in celebration mode over the news that the new president of the United States has lifted the immigration ban on Nigeria. This was a very big win for Nigerians in diaspora. It should be noted that Joe Biden lifted the ban barely 24 hours into his position as the president of the United States.
As Nigerians were still celebrating that, our dear president, Muhammadu Buhari is also making moves. According to his aide, Bashir Ahmad, the president as approved the reappointment of Hadiza Bala Usman as the Managing Director of Nigerian Port Authorities (NPA).
It should be noted that when President Buhari appointed her as the managing Director of the NPA in 2016, her appointment generated a lot of controversies as many saw her nomination as ethnically based and questioned her qualification for the specific role.
After Bashir shared this information on social media, via his official twitter account, Nigerians were quick to react as they again voiced their dissatisfaction that another Northerner is enjoying favours from the president.
