President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni of the National Resistance Movement has been proclaimed winner of the January 14 Presidential Election in Uganda.
The 76-year-old was announced champ of the surveys in the wake of crushing ten different up-and-comers including significant challenger, Bobi Wine of the National Unity Platform.
With the affirmation, Museveni is set to be confirmed on May 12 for his 6th term, which terminates in 2026.
However, his fundamental challenger, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, 38 has dismissed the outcomes refering to far and wide citizen misrepresentation and hefty crackdown on his allies, and further pronouncing himself as "President-Elect".
BREAKING: EC announces Yoweri Kaguta Museveni champ of the Presidential races with 5,851,037, 58.64% of the all out votes
Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) came next with 3,475,298, 34.83% of the absolute votes.
