The Federal Government on Friday offered authority of the Academic Staff Union of Universities N65 billion for Earned Academic Allowance and revitalisation. 

The public authority likewise consented to pay the striking teachers through the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System) until ASUU's University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) was prepared for utilization.

Talking on the issue of retained pay rates, Ngige said the Federal Ministry of Labor and Federal Ministry of Education will survey the issue of "no work, no compensation" as specified in Section 43 of the Trade Disputes Act Cap T8 laws of the organization of Nigeria, 2004 with the end goal of getting endorsement for the retained pay rates to be paid.
