The Lagos State Police Command, on Sunday, finished simultaneous raids on areas believed to be harbouring criminals and hoodlums, across the 14 vicinity commands within the country.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a declaration issued in Lagos, stated that 720 suspects have been arrested, with numerous weapons and materials suspected to be Indian hemp and cocaine.

“In its bid to solidify the safety structure of the country, the Lagos Command re-released its anti crime techniques to scale down crimes and illegal activity throughout the state.

“In the swift operations, police operatives arrested 720 suspects with incriminating gadgets, along with domestically-made weapons, cartridges, charms and substances suspected to be Indian hemp and cocaine.

“Also, some objects suspected to had been looted from various buying shops within the nation for the duration of the latest EndSARS violence were observed in the suspected criminals,” he said.

Adejobi said that the Commissioner of Police inside the country, Hakeem Odumosu, had in advance warned and directed law enforcement officials and guys to transport in opposition to lawlessness and illegal activity inside the state.
