Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat Debunks Alleged Overnight Arrest Of EndSARS Protesters In Lagos

Representative Governor of Lagos State Obafemi Hamzat has exposed reports that police officers did unlawful captures on Thursday night over the state, Igbere TV reports. 

Web-based media clients woke up on Friday to the gossip that territories in Lagos, for example, Surulere and Ojuelegba saw such clampdown following fights against police severity. 

Mr Hamzat said on Friday that the reports were bogus, calling for alert among online media clients. 

"Counterfeit news to cause alarm during this period should be stayed away from no matter what. There have been reports of unlawful captures across Lagos that have ended up being lies," he tweeted. 

"The @rrslagos767 group made a move to check these reports and we have not discovered any one that was valid. 

"On the off chance that you have any confirmed case of unlawful captures the previous evening in Lagos, it would be ideal if you share with me and the state group will get included to determine. We should secure each other by not getting out phony word. Much obliged to you."
