I SO LAY SHUN (Love beyond physical distancing 04-06-2020)
Do I still
Remember
How to shake hands?
Has that crocked veil
Bent my arms
Skewards
From shoulders to fingers?
Will that
Peaceful ambience
Of my once
Unfortunately Transient,
Hospitality,
Disappear
Like the
Shifting shadows
On that awesome
Zero shadow day?
And will you then
Shun me
When I come towards you
Like the huge hugs of
A holy beer?
Well,
If time and space
Could be separated
And so spaced,
One kept,
North Pole
The other kept,
South Pole…
Or maybe even,
Both separated
By the inconsequential
Distance between
The thoughts and speeches
Of a perfect human brain,
Then memories
And warm feelings
Like humble handshakes
Could then be lost,
Missing in times
Amounting to decades
Or even split seconds.
However,
That space
In this case
Facing facts
Is not even,
Existential
Let alone
Tangible
In this once,
Cuddling cradle.
